New Air Arabia Route to Connect Sharjah and London Gatwick
Air Arabia has announced the launch of a new non-stop service connecting Sharjah to London Gatwick, marking a major expansion in the airline’s international network. The Sharjah-based carrier will begin operating the route on March 29, 2026, offering twice-daily flights to provide travellers with more flexibility and convenience when flying between the UAE and the United Kingdom. The addition of London Gatwick strengthens Air Arabia’s global reach and further supports its strategy of expanding connections from Sharjah International Airport.
Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, described the new route as a significant milestone for the airline, highlighting its commitment to enhancing connectivity across key markets while maintaining its value-driven travel experience. He noted that the launch of flights to London Gatwick will offer both business and leisure travellers more affordable and reliable options when flying between the UAE and the UK.
London Gatwick’s Chief Commercial Officer, Jonathan Pollard, welcomed the announcement, noting the rising demand for routes to the Middle East and the airport’s growing list of carriers. He added that Air Arabia’s arrival comes at a promising time, following the approval for routine use of the airport’s Northern Runway, and expressed enthusiasm for the enhanced access it will provide to Sharjah and the broader Middle East.
Beginning next year, the new Sharjah–London route is set to offer increased choice, stronger connectivity, and a direct link between two major hubs, benefiting passengers across both regions.
